Offering an apology for any "oversharing," Hoppus, who has been keeping fans updated on his recent cancer diagnosis and treatment, explained via social media that he will be undergoing a test that "may very well determine if I live or die." Mark also thanked "everyone for the positive thoughts and encouragement." Defiantly, Hoppus added that he's going "to beat this through chemotherapy or through bone marrow transplants, but either way I’m determined to kick cancer’s ass directly in the nuts."
After first breaking the news in mid-June, Hoppus has been giving concerned fans semi-regular updates regarding his battle and the treatments that he has and will be undergoing. The Blink-182 bassist recently said he has his up and down days, and "on good days, I go do stuff."
While he has not shared his exact diagnosis, Mark also posted a photo in his latest update showing a CT scan of his shoulder region with a tumor visible.
