Country fans have clung to newcomer Megan Moroney after connecting with her crafty songwriting and Southern values displayed in her debut single, “Tennessee Orange,” and now there’s a lot more where that came from as her debut album, Lucky, releases today.

“I hope listeners can really get to know me after listening to the record,” she shared in regards to the album release. “All these songs feel very me — whether it’s a funny song or a heartbreak song, or a love song — they all feel very authentic to me.”
Moroney’s heart and soul is definitely displayed throughout the project as she has a hand in penning all 13 songs. She hopes listeners will connect as much as they have to the single as her goal for creating the tracklist was “no skips.”
“I think we picked 13 songs because it just felt right,” she said. “We could’ve added more, but we definitely got to a point where we didn’t want to cut any. The goal was no skips, so 13 just felt right.”
She continued, “Lucky the album is really just 13 songs that are everything that I love about Country music. I’m a writer on all of them so they mean a lot to me and I’ve very excited to share my first, full project with the world.”
