Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood led the birthday wishes with Keith keeping things cheeky as always, sharing a video of himself playing a little diddly on the piano, before the still 79 year-old quipped, "Give me a call, let me know what it is like,” about turning the big 8-0. Reiterating some of his said sentiments in the caption, Richards wrote, “Happy Birthday, Mick. Long may we keep saying this to each other, Happy 80th! Love, Keith.”

Wood, meanwhile, shared a few photographs and a painting, alongside the caption: "Happy 80th birthday to @mickjagger!”

Mick also received birthday wishes from the official Rolling Stones Twitter account, in the form of a sweet message and video montage full of moments and images from his monumental 60-year career.

Fans and famous friends including CHIC's Nile Rogers and Lenny Kravitz also paid tribute. Check out a few of the posts below.

Thankful for all the birthday wishes, Mick shared in a message of his own.
