Tuesday, West held the ultimate listening party, premiering Donda 2 at loanDepot Park in Miami. The widely viewed footage entitled the Donda Experience Performance, has already surpassed 2 million views. After a two-hour repetition of a heartbeat, the main event seemingly began with a replica of Ye’s childhood home burning. The “Hurricane” rapper then emerged in all-black attire while stepping through shallow water.
The Game momentarily appeared with Ye center to perform their previously released collab “Eazy.” Later in the evening, 2 Chainz and Migos joined West, surrounded by an army of extras in black helmets. Then Pusha T performed his new single “Diet Coke,'' which Kanye co-produced. Also, Jack Harlow made an appearance to perform a track titled “Louis Bags.” Eventually, Alicia Keys and Fivio Foreign came out to perform their new song “City of Gods,” the latest single released from Donda 2. Playboi Carti also performed “Off The Grid” with Fivio Foreign.
Additional guest appearances included Marilyn Manson and DaBaby. The controversial pair joined West to perform “Jail Pt.2" from the Donda 2 prequel. Reportedly, Travis Scott, Future, Soulja Boy, and other artists are featured on Donda 2, but were not physically present for the event. Vocals from the late rapper XXXTentatcion are also featured on the project as well.
According to Ye himself, Donda 2 will not be available on streaming platforms. To listen to the album in its entirety, anticipated listeners will have to purchase a $200 stem player.
