Linkin Park songwriter Mike Shinoda has revealed a new single is on the way, created in collaboration with singer Demi Lovato for the new Scream VI thriller flick set to hit theaters on March 10.

We first caught wind of the prospect of the new track while Shinoda and Audacy host Nicole Alvarez were discussing Linkin Park's 20th anniversary Meteora and the newly released track from that era, "Lost."
"Up until this year I had been doing a lot of writing and producing for other people," he explained, careful not to let the Demi cat out of the bag too soon. "And I recently got the bug to do it for myself again... I do have a new song that's gonna be in the movie 'Scream'" After being approached to be a part of the soundtrack, the producers immediately gravitated toward something Mike played them as a sample. "It's not great planning for me," he admits, but "it's great planning for Linkin Park fans, because there's just more music!"
"Proud to have co-written & produced this track for the one and only Demi Lovato," Shinoda shared on social media as a tease for the single, titled "Still Alive," set to arrive on March 3.
Scream VI , featuring recurring roles from Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox, is scheduled to hit theaters on March 23.
