Researchers who are trying to figure out what it is that gives cannabis that massive aroma have used a bunch of scent-detecting lab software and discovered just what makes this plant so stinky - hint: it involves the word sulfur. As a byproduct of the research, they ended up realizing that your Italian grandmother's pasta sauce probably has something similar added to it. Garlic shares some of the same chemical compounds that also make it so aromatic.
Now, before you go getting the big idea to try and smoke some cloves, don't do that, just realize that's not gonna end well for you... unless maybe you're trying to keep away vampires.
