So maybe BMX riding isn’t Nick Jonas’ forté. The 28-year-old singer took a hefty spill on Wednesday night’s NBC special, Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers.

The pre-taped special featured Nick, along with brothers Kevin and Joe as they attempted various Olympic sports while being coached by Olympic greats including Sydney McLaughlin, Sanya Richards-Ross, Laurie Hernandez and Alise Willoughby.
Despite his confidence going into a BMX race against Kevin and Joe, Nick wiped out, taking out both his brothers and cracking a rib on the way down. Ouch!
"F***ed up my back," Nick said in agony as his brothers rushed to his side saying, “Don't stress. We got you. We’ll be right behind you.”
Following the fall, Nick was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
News of Nick’s injury spread like wildfire as he was in the midst of taping live shows for season 20 of The Voice. Despite his injury, Nick did not miss any time in his red swivel coach chair.
“Cracked rib from a spill on a bike, and a few other bumps and bruises,” said to The Voice host, Carson Daly when asked how he was feeling. “But I just want to go ahead and say that, in case I'm not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am. Blake [Shelton], please don't make me laugh as much, because it hurts to laugh.”
The BMX spill wasn’t the only wipeout for Nick on the show. He also took a tumble while taking on the hurdles in the track & field challenge. Unlike the result of his bike spill, Nick was able to jump back into action and complete the race.
“I always give 110 percent, and sometimes that gets you the gold,” Nick said. “In this case, it got me a fractured rib, bruised tailbone and a hospital dinner. But I'm recovering. Thanks for asking, next question.”
