TMZ shared reports of the incident, which took place Sunday evening, but details surrounding Jonas’ injury, or the project he was working on have not been released.
“We're told Nick was on set when something happened,” TMZ shared. “The sources would not disclose the nature of the accident or injury, but it was serious enough that he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.”
Jonas is believed to be home now and is expected to still appear on tonight’s episode of The Voice.
After two seasons as a judge on the show known for its blind auditions, Nick recently revealed his plans not to return for the show’s 21st season.
Taking his place will be Ariana Grande, who will join current judges John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, as well as the only remaining coach from the show’s first season, Blake Shelton.
"Surprise!!! I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice,” Ariana posted on social media. “@nickjonas we will miss you.”
Jonas replied to the post, “congrats, @ArianaGrande! You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family.”
Grande marks the show’s 17th judge since it’s first season in April 2011.
Jonas is currently promoting his 4th studio album, Spaceman, which released in March. The project is his first solo album since 2016 when he released, Last Year Was Complicated.
