So, basically this whole thing started due to a comment Jessie J made during her recent conversation with Glamour about how her 2014 track “Bang Bang” came to be.

Before we get started, in case you didn’t already know, which if you didn’t shame on you, the hit track was a straight up banger (oooh pun intended) and featured Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.

Okay, so as Jessie explained, "'Bang Bang' was a song that already existed. I didn’t write 'Bang Bang.' Max Martin wrote 'Bang Bang,' and Ariana had been played it, I’d been played it, and we both loved it.” She continued, "we just said, 'why don’t we both do it?' So Ariana stayed on the second verse, I recorded the first verse, and then Nicki was played it in the studio and was like, 'I’ve got to jump on this.' We didn’t go to her and ask; she wanted to do it.”

"I’ll never forget, I was in my bedroom in my flat in London, and I got sent the version with Nicki on it. I just sat at the end of my bed holding my phone, staring at the floor, going, 'How the f*** did I land this?’” Adding, “I literally felt like I’d won a competition.”

Well, according to Ms. Minaj that’s not quite how things went down. Not too pleased with Jessie's version of events, Nicki took to Twitter to give her side of the story.

"Babe @JessieJ, I didn’t hear the song & ask 2get on it. The label asked me 2 get on it & paid me.” Nicki made sure to clarify, adding, “How would I have heard the song? 😩 chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs chile?” 😂This was said by another artist recently as well. Yallgotta stop🎈 LoveU😘”

Well, Dang Dang. Guess that settles that.

Nicki continued the chit chat with one of her followers, claiming that despite it not going down the way Jessie claimed it did, since her artist Parker co-wrote the track, she “would’ve gotten on that 1 for some pickle juice.”

Which then led another follower to suggest a trade, offering up pickle juice for some inside scoop about what she’s working on at the moment. And despite no exchange of the tangy drank Nicki offered up the a bit of info replying.

And just like that some unexpected beef and music news. Don’t you just love the internet!?
