Nicki Minaj will lead the new animated series ‘Lady Danger’ thanks to 50 Cent

The Queen Barb, Nicki Minaj will star in and executive produce a new animated series, Lady Danger, on Amazon Freevee.

Based on Dark Horse’s Lady Danger comic book series written by Alex de Campi, the series will open in the year 2075 and follow the life of an ex-government field agent who was left for dead after uncovering a dangerous secret. She miraculously resurrects as the Afrofuturistic Lady Danger who has to hide her identity as she destroys her enemies who try to harm the earth and innocent civilians.

"On orders from the Bureau of Organized Terrorism Intervention (B.O.O.T.I.), superfly superspy Lady Danger came to make trouble in a CIA-backed Chinese general turned drug lord's neighborhood. Now it's his turn to make trouble in hers—with lots of guns and ninjas! And bimbos, also!" Dark Horse's official synopsis of the second issue reads.

In addition to Minaj, fellow rapper as well as television producer and businessman, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Brian Sher, Paul Young, Mike Griffin, Carlton Jordan and Crystle Robersonwill will be executive producing and Starburns Industries is the animation studio.
