Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are fully embracing their newest high-profile roles as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in the upcoming film “Being the Ricardos.”

A photo of the two Oscar winners playing their new roles was taken on set showing Kidman, 53, leaning against a green car while wearing yellow pants, a checkered blazer, and a scarf around her head.

Bardem, 52, is standing next to his co-star while decked out in black slacks and a green tuxedo jacket, People reported.

The upcoming film, written and directed by industry legend Aaron Sorkin, follows Ball and Arnaz over the course of a week during the taping of their hit show "I Love Lucy" as the two navigate their marriage at a delicate time for both their relationship and the series.

Sorkin is best known for his work on series like “The West Wing” and “The Newsroom,” and films like “The Social Network,” “Steve Jobs” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.”

Earlier this month, Kidman teased the movie by posting a photo of herself on set in front in front of a sign that read "Closed set. No social media. No photos."

“Currently in production,” Kidman captioned the picture, along with the hashtag #BeingTheRicardos.

In January, Kidman opened up about her excitement to play the part.

“I was like, “Yeah, I would love to give it a go,” Kidman told Variety in an interview, describing her decision to take on the part. "With Aaron's words and his direction and Javier… that's kind of a wonderful prospect to, you know. But yikes, off we go. Give it a go. Try my best—see if I can do it."

“She's an amazing woman,” she added. “I'm very excited for people to see what Aaron found out about her and the way he's interpreted Desi and Lucy and the way that it's so rich. I didn't know any of this.”
