If you missed it, shock rocker (is that still a thing?) Marilyn Manson returned this month with a brand new album for the insanity that is 2020, offering up WE ARE CHAOS on September 11. Manson's previous release was 2017's Heaven Upside Down.

In a new video clip for "DON'T CHASE THE DEAD," directed by Travis Shinn (who has previously worked with Motionless In White and Killswitch Engage among others), Manson is joined by The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus and Manson's girlfriend, Lindsay Usich in a blood soaked tale of what seems like a love triangle gone astray.

Manson pains through the song while bleeding out from a stab wound in the front seat, while Usich gives Reedus the evil eye as they drive through darkened city streets. Only at the very end, when Reedus is disposed of, do we see who was in control of this car ride.

In a recent interview, Manson explained that the track is “a very driving song, but when it opens up in the chorus, it has very Berlin-era Bowie elements,” adding, “it sort of has this postulating feeling of unease but romance at the same time. It sounds like the end of the world, in a way. That really was what I was trying to capture.”

Manson was ready to hit the road in 2020 in support of Ozzy Osbourne's North American tour but was sidelined due to Ozzy's ongoing health battles, however, he is still set to appear at Japan's rescheduled Knotfest in January 2021 with SlipknotKorn, and more.

WE ARE CHAOS is out now.
