While most albums drop on New Music Fridays, Snoop Dogg said, nah I’m good and opted for a 420 release. And let’s be real, we aren’t even a little bit surprised.

In celebration of what we can only assume to be his favorite holiday, the legendary rapper dropped his 18th studio album, From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites. Consisting of 10 tracks, the project features collabs from Devin The Dude, Kokane, Goldie Loc, Big Tray Deee, Mozzy, Larry June, Prohoezak and J Black. And fitting of its creator and release date the LP includes song titles such as “Roaches in My Ashtray” and “Left My Weed.”

Besides the obvious vibe of the album, the project has Snoop showing off that traditional G-Funk sound that elevated him to the forefront of the rap game in the early 90s.

After sharing a screenshot of the album on Instagram, Snoop received high praises, one of which was from DJ Battlecat, who wrote, “JUST HEARD THE WHOLE ENCHILADA MAN THE WHOLE PAN WAS DELICIOUS CUZZ WE GOT ANOTHER CLASSIC @snoopdogg HOT DAMM,” and threw in some fire emojis to further cement his point.

And that’s not all, Snoop plans on rolling out, or should we say up (had to), a whole lot more. Also in honor of today, aka 4/20, the Doggfather is set to host a virtual event, dubbed Even Higher Together, with co- headliners A$AP Rocky and Jhené Aiko.

According to the event’s website, fellow weed enthusiast Wiz Khalifa will host a cypher with Taylor Gang Members as well as Chevy Woods, Rapsody, Problem, producer The Alchemist and more.

Others making appearances include G-Eazy, comedian Ms. Pat, Talib Kweli and more. As for what’s in store for those inevitable munchies. celebrity chef Nikki Steward will be cooking up some cannabis brunch with Mike Tyson, Too $hortand actor Jaleel White.

Fans ages 21+ can tune in to Even Higher Together at 4PM ET in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico thanks to sponsor and site host Weedmaps, the premier site for consumers to discover cannabis products, retailers and clients.

“Weedmaps’ virtual 4/20 event is going to be phenomenal,” Snoop said in a statement. “Anything celebrating cannabis and the culture around it, you know I gotta be there. Cannabis brings people together and Weedmaps is doing just that. I’m also dropping my new album, From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites on 4/20, to give my fans a little something to smoke to on this holiday, ya dig?” Yeah, we dig.

Also rolling up (did it again) next, Snoop has more music coming in just a few weeks as part of supergroup Mt. Westmore, alongside Ice Cube, E-40 and Too $hort. The group already debut their first single on the latest Triller Fight Club event, check that out here and listen to From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites below.
