High above Manhattan, The Paradox recently joined us inside the Hard Rock Hotel for a round of beers and conversation with Brad Steiner.

Over a few IPAs from the appropriately picked, Paradox Brewery in North Hudson, NY the band looked back on their rapid rise, the Pop Punk village it takes to raise a daughter on the road, and their war against perfection in a world of AI.
After imagining themselves as different drinks like "Malibu Rum" or a "Dirty Shirley," the group looked back on their diverse influences from 1950s Doo-Wop and Motown to Prince and The Beach Boys. “I was raised by my great grandparents so that was like their music of their youth,” says Eric Dangerfield.
With that nod to the past, The Paradox is quick to understand the need for some rawness in releasing music in a digital world. “People my age, I feel like by the time we had consciousness, a lot of the bands and live musicians and live music in general was just kind of, computerize everything, the perfection of everything,” says Eric. “Pitch correction, quantization, computerized instruments and everything, I think people are just longing for the humanism that was, you know, within a lot of those records that have stood the test of time.”
“I think there's a war on perfection right now,” adds drummer PC3.
