Sitting with family friend, Naomi Campbell on No Filter with Naomi, Paris gets candid about her musical career and even shares some fun facts about how her father, Michael Jackson, instilled a sense of normalcy in her life and the lives of her brothers. Paris remembered the times where everything wasn't always "glitz and glam." She expressed, "my dad was really good about making sure we were cultured, making sure we were educated [...] We saw everything, every part of the spectrum."
Paris also recalled a time where "if we wanted five toys from FAO Schwarz or Toys 'R' Us, we had to read five books." She explained, "it's about earning it, not just being entitled to certain things [...] It's like working for it, working hard for it. It's something else entirely." Even as an adult, she is a "full believer" that she "should earn everything." She still studies, auditions and doesn't simply use her name to open up doors for her.
Paris' ultimate goal is to be able to merge her passions (music, modeling and acting) with activism. She expressed her admiration for Stella McCartney, saying, "I look up to Stella a lot. She's been an incredible force in the fashion world, and just like as a human being, as an activist and to be able to take such an amazing brand and all this awesome art and make it sustainable [...] it's just completely something else, to be on the right side of change."
