Making his return with a comedy act for the first time in three years, as part of Netflix’s comedy festival, Netflix Is A Joke, Pete brought up some stories of the now two famous friends’ were close to accepting their failing careers, before their come up to fame.
For his act, Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends, the Saturday Night Live comedian, who first appeared on the sketch show in 2014, introduced his pop-punk/rapper best friend to the stage. But not before sharing all about the time they both lived at his “mom’s house”.
“This next guy that’s coming to the stage, we celebrated Christmas together in 2018 and we both looked at each other from across the table,” Davidson said, adding: “We were at my mom’s house, we were living together at my mom’s house, in her basement.”
“I remember we were looking at each other like, ‘It’s OK, our careers are f***ing over it’s fine,’” he continued. “We had fun it’s all good who would have thought we could do anything, right?’”
But as we now know, that’s not quite how it all worked out. Which Pete highlighted by saying — “this guy now has two No. 1 albums in a row.” Adding, “he’s I think one of the biggest names you can get,” before welcoming MGK to the stage.

Oh and if you’re still here, then you’ll also care about this. At another point during his set, Pete brought up some of the Kimye dramz he’s found himself caught up in, since he’s currently dating Kim Kardashian.
“I had an AIDS scare this year,” he quipped, referring to the rumors Kanye West supposedly tried to spread about Pete, as response to him dating his ex-wife.
Going on to tell his audience that since West is a “genius" he actually got himself tested for the condition. Reassuring the crowd that the doctor assured him he does not, in fact, have AIDS – he just looks like he does. Also sharing how none of his inner circle have any advice to give him on the Kanye front, and how he secretly wants Ye to pull a Mrs. Doubtfire.
