There’s several reasons music fans are pressing ‘play’ on this album, one of them being the jaw-dropping collaborations. Fifteen of the 18 tracks on the standard album are duets with some of the genre’s most iconic stars to some of its most-promising newcomers.
One of the immediately most talked about collabs following its midnight release is, “Have the Heart,” featuring queen, Dolly Parton. The traditional-leaning song centers around two melancholy lovers who each want to go their separate ways, but don’t “have the heart” to hurt one another. While the subject matter may not be the happiest, the blending of Parton’s legendary vocals with Post’s new Country sound (a match no one saw coming) is enough to put a smile on any face.
As if Posty and Parton being on the track together wasn’t star power enough, the shine seeps into the songwriting credits as the tune was co-written by another big collaborator on the project, Lainey Wilson. Wilson and Post debuted their song together titled, “Nosedive,” just two nights ahead of the album release at Post’s Grand Ole Opry debut. “Nosedive,” was written by Luke Combs alongside Post, who also share two collaborations on the project; “Missin' You Like This,” and previously released, “Guy for That.”
Other big names on the tracklist include Tim McGraw (“Wrong Ones”), Brad Paisley (“Goes Without Saying”), Jelly Roll (“Losers”), Chris Stapleton (“California Sober”), HARDY (“Hide My Gun”), Ernest (“Devil I've Been”), Hank Williams Jr. (“Finer Things”) and more. It also includes his multi-week #1 with Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” in addition to a previously released song with Blake Shelton, “Pour Me A Drink.”
“Thank you to everyone involved in the making of this project,” Post shared on social media at the moment of the album’s release. “I am so honored to have worked with some of my favorite artists, writers, and friends… I have had the time of my life making this record, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to make it. Everyone keep expressing yourself, having fun, loving what you do, and loving each other. I love you more than I can say. Have a great night mofo’s, and I’ll see you soon.”
While the original project was heavy with collaborations, Post surprised fans 12 hours after the original release with a deluxe version, F-1 Trillion - Long Bed. The deluxe features nine, brand new songs that are all sung solo, showing he can stand on his own two feet in the genre (as if anyone had doubts).
Now that fans have the music, they can get even more excited for the supporting tour. Post’s F-1 Trillion Tour will kick off September 8 in Salt Lake City and include 21 shows across stadiums, festivals, and amphitheaters nationwide.
