Prosecutors allege that the 54-year-old had sexual contact with an underaged boy, in addition to the countless underaged girls he's been connected to and they want jurors to know. According to the Associated Press, despite prosecutors having new claims, no new charges have been filed and Kelly is still denying all claims.
Prosecutors say that Kelly met the 17-year-old boy at a McDonald's in December 2006 and later invited him back to his studio. The boy, who aspired to be in the industry, sought advice and Kelly "propositioned and had sexual contact with him while he was still underage." Prosecutors also stated that the boy introduced Kelly to a male friend near the same age and they began a sexual relationship years later. The boys were also allegedly filmed by Kelly engaging in sexual encounters with others, including some of Kelly's "girlfriends." Prosecutors brought these allegations to the surface to showcase that the incidents aren't isolated, but rather are part of a "larger pattern."
Jury selection is set to begin on August 9. Kelly is being charged with running a "criminal enterprise," comprised of managers, bodyguards and other employees who reportedly aided him in recruiting women and girls for sex and abuse. In the New York trial, six different women and girls are involved, but aren't named in the court filings.
