The rapper, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was targeted leaving a bar. A gunman shot the 24-year-old Floridian and two others, 19 and 60-years-old, according to NBC News informants. Many performers and entertainers are in Los Angeles for Super Bowl weekend events.
One other person was injured in a scuffle but was not shot.
Around 2:45 a.m., rappers Kodak Black, Gunna, and Lil Baby were standing on the street conversing when a fight broke out, TMZ reported. The gossip site reported Kodak Black tried to hit someone when gunshots were fired.

It was not immediately clear what triggered the fight outside The Nice Guy bar and restaurant in the 400 block of North La Cienega Boulevard — which was hosting an afterparty following a performance by Justin Bieber at the nearby Pacific Design Center.
Police said Saturday afternoon the shooting investigation was ongoing.
Former President Donald Trump pardoned Kodak Black in 2021 after he was sentenced to nearly four years in prison on federal weapons charges.
