Despite being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Reba McEntire revealed to fans that she, and boyfriend, Rex Linn, recently contracted the virus and suffered various symptoms.

"I just want to say one thing. This has been a hard year and it's getting rougher again," McEntire shared around the 21-minute-mark of a recent TikTok livestream. "You guys, please stay safe. Wear your mask. Do what you have to do. Stay home."
She continued, "It's not fun to get [Covid-19]. I did get it, Rex and I got it and it's not fun," she said. "You don't feel good. We were both vaccinated and we still got it, so stay safe, stay home, and be protected the best you can."
McEntire’s case is being deemed a “breakthrough case,” used to describe individuals who contract the virus despite being fully vaccinated. Reports show the number of breakthrough cases have been rising as the new variant of the virus, the Delta Variant, spreads across the country.
