Sam Hunt joined Audacy at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee to play a private show for one lucky Audacy listener and nine of their friends which got him thinking… who would he want to win a private performance by?
“The first name that came to mind… is Adele,” he told Audacy’s Katie Neal. “They always talk about how sad her music is, but I love those piano ballad, heartbreak songs. Those are best in an intimate environment.”
Fully recognizing his dream of a private concert by Adele is likely out of reach, Sam is humbled to be an artist fans are excited to win a private show by as he nears the top of the charts with “23,” which would be his ninth #1 single.
“That was the first song I wrote after finding out that we weren’t going to be able to tour my last record in 2020,” he shared. “I’m just glad it’s done so well and am thankful to radio for supporting me.”
Sam went on to hint more new music is coming and he hopes to have at least one song from his ext album released in a matter of weeks.
“I got a big chunk of it finished with all the time off,” Sam said of his next project. “I’ve got another song coming out here in a few weeks, and then I’m going to try and trickle songs out after that, over the summer.”
Summer can’t get here soon enough!
