Ahead of her national cheerleading competition, 9-year-old Mikayla Lange was surprised by her National Guard dad with a cheer routine even though he's currently on his second tour of duty in the Middle East.
As other fathers of Mikayla's teammates performed a routine for their girls' send-off, the little cheerleader got to be included in the celebration by having her dad, along with his fellow servicemen, perform while deployed out in the desert.
Mikayla said it was amazing seeing her dad do cartwheels and shimmy!
Madison Lang, Mikayla's mother, tells Radio.com, "It started with the coaches at Koach creating a Dad routine and then my husband wanted to be involved too. She was over the moon when she saw him get together with his unit and cheer music started."
