The GRAMMY-nominated Irish group is days away from their fifth studio album, led by leadoff tracks “Marianne” and “Tongue.”

Following the success of 2024’s Romance, Fontaines D.C.’s latest project reflects the times according to a release, including the rise of AI, political violence, and more. “The album itself is a dopamine chamber,” Grian Chatten says. “You step inside and we test these different mind or mood-altering pieces of music on you.”

“On this record, the question became: where do you escape to?” Chatten adds. “I felt it would be more powerful to leave the hope out and reflect the ugliness honestly. This one needed to feel more like a catastrophic warning.”

Dopamine Chamber is available everywhere on October 16.
