Supermodel Twiggy, 72, reveals the secret to her legendary eye-popping look

If anyone knows mascara, it’s legendary supermodel Twiggy.

The English stunner made her name during the 1960s Mod movement that featured massive eyelashes, and her’s framed those equally massive eyes that helped make her arguably the face of that swingin' era.

At 72, she’s still modeling and giving tips on how to make your lashes pop. The latest issue of Country Living checked in on Twiggy for some sage suggestions, including her go-to mascara for right now – Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara.

“I love the Pillow Talk Push Up lashes Mascara,” Twiggy recently told People, “and the new shade Dream Pop is my favorite! I pair this with the new Pillow Talk Dreams palette.”

A longtime friend and brand ambassador of Tilbury's, Twiggy explained that she has loved the ultra-dramatic eye look from a very young age, and in fact claims she “invented it at the tender age of 16.”

Someone noticed her “invention” because the famously slender icon, whose real name is Lesley Lawson (née Hornby), landed on the cover of Vogue when she was only 17.

Back then, the model said, “It would take me one and a half hours to apply, including three pairs of false eyelashes” – a style she can now attain with just the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara alone.
