Thousands watched as Swift made good on a promise from seven years ago during her second show at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis over the weekend and the moment had all the Swifties in their feels.
It all went down during Swift’s performance of “22,” where she’s made a tradition out of picking a young fan each night to be gifted the iconic fedora she wears. Every evening, Swift meets the lucky fan at the end of the catwalk and shares a special moment and embrace with them. On Saturday night, there was a familiar face at the end of the stage for Swift, one she’d known for years but never met in person. Her name? Eloise.
Rewind the clock seven years and the most dedicated Swifties will remember Eloise as well as her mom, Cindy who was promised by Swift during an Instagram live that she would “totally meet” Eloise one day.
“She’s a tiny baby and I will totally meet her and A when they’re not 3 months old and jus tryna GET SOME REST,” Swift wrote on the live at the time.
Fast forward to the present day, Cindy and Eloise saw that promise come full circle as Eloise received the hat while decked out in the perfect Eras Tour outfit with her mom nearby. Swift gave a “rocking the baby motion” as she met Eloise to indicate she’d known her since she was a baby and even seemed to reach for Cindy’s hand to say hello.
"The way I’m still crying happy tears," Cindy wrote on social media following the events. "I’ll never be able to thank you enough, @taylorswift13 & @taylornation13, for the most magical evening! Dreaming instead of sleeping over here, forever and ever.”
