Yes, you’re totally right in thinking that ever week is basically the best week ever when you’re T. Swift, but what makes this week particularly better than all the rest, is that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has claimed the No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated November 11), scoring the superstar her, (lucky number) 13th No. 1 on the chart and her biggest sales week ever.

Breaking her own records, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has now surpassed the 2014 first-week sales of 1.287 million units sold, with 1.653 million, making it the first Taylor Version to net a bigger debut than the original. The TV version of the 1989 also exceeded the most-streamed Spotify album in a single day, a title she already held with her 2022 album Midnights.

The sales of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) were no doubt enhanced by the 15 collectible physical formats available for purchase, including five color vinyl variants, eight CD editions, and two cassette editions. But don’t hate the player or the game, Tay Tay clearly knows what she’s doing.

Swift recently also hit another chart milestone when “Cruel Summer” went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, the tenth of her songs to do so. Mix in her Eras World Tour and movie basically being anything everyone can talk about, plus linking up with Travis Kelce and subsequent NFL takeover, Taylor Swift is having her biggest year ever. But like we said, this week might just be the best one yet.
