Nearly 20 years after his debut album, Love/Hate, superproducer THE-DREAM has released a sequel with Love/Hate II, focusing on a more mature realization about love. The singer, songwriter, and producer joined The Radio Big Mack Show on New York’s 94.7 The Block last week to unpack his latest project, talk about his process with other artists like Beyoncé and beyond, and his approach to releasing his own music.

"This was the first time I was just making records without a real intention for myself,” he shares on his new album, Love/Hate II. “When it comes to me, as far as albums and things that I'm doing, they're intentional in a certain type of way. This one kind of just made itself. I thought about five songs. I looked up and said, oh, this is how ‘Love Hate’ felt."
