The Party Bros, the duo made up of Chad Kroeger and JT Parr are the foremost experts on partying and spoke to Audacy’s Stryker & Klein about why this Memorial Day weekend will be a party unlike any other.
Thanks to the COVID-19 vaccine, this summer will finally provide the opportunity to gather with your friends and family once again. “It went from summer of bummer to summer of full stoke, full froth,” JT said.
“We’re like, three day weekend sounds legit. But, we’re looking at this like a 120-day weekend,” Chad added.
Their excitement is palpable as Chad said the two are “bursting at the seams with stoke.”
“We’ve been containing it for a full cycle around the sun and now I’m about to burst with a sun’s worth of party energy that could light up the West.”
Do these guys know how to party or what?
Stryker & Klein also got the latest update on an initiative the duo has long been passionate about. Getting a statue of Paul Walker erected near their hometown of San Clemente, CA. As you can see in the video above, their efforts began in 2017 at a San Clemente City Council meeting.
“We tried going through the bureaucratic channels, but they’re super slow,” they said. Instead, the duo opted “for a grassroots approach” and launched a GoFundMe. “This statue would not only serve to honor our late hero, but to serve as a unifying beacon of hope for the entire naysh,” the fundraiser says. “We are putting the fate of the statue into the hands of Stoke Nation.”
The duo has lobbied numerous times to get a statue built.“We’ve been rejected by like, 15 cities,” they said. At this point, The Party Bros say they’re “kind of open to anywhere along the coast.” Best of luck, dudes.
