The 13th Annual Roots Picnic music festival is set to stream virtually on June 27th, and while we are already thinking of ways to set up our perfect outdoors, socially distant watching situation, we are even more hyped to see what former First Lady, Michelle Obama, will be bringing to the proverbial picnic this year.

The Roots have partnered with Mrs. Obama’sWhen We All Vote” registration initiative, in order to engage young voters on the importance of exercising political freedom during the live streaming music festival.

The whole streaming event will be hosted by Questlove, Black Thought, and Michelle Obama. Performances by H.E.R., Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, SZA, and many more will be interspersed with appearances from greats such as Janelle Monáe, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Tom Hanks, Lin Manuel Miranda and more.

To watch the 13th Annual Roots Picnic you can stream the event on The Roots’ Youtube page, on Saturday, June 27th, starting at 5PM PT/8PM ET.
