Is The Weeknd secretly a Pop-Punk fan? If so, it’s not a secret anymore - the singer just took to Twitter and declared his love for blink-182’s classic, “I Miss You.”

This past Sunday, the singer declared simply, “i miss you is the greatest song ever written,” prompting a response from blink singer and guitarist Tom Delonge.

“This is a really insanely kind thing to say,” he responded, “especially coming from such a talented artist like yourself - Thank you dearly, I’m just happy you like it.”

In case you need a reminder, “I Miss You” was first released in 2004 as a single from the band’s fifth studio album. It topped the Modern Rock Billboard chart in 2005 for two weeks, and peaked at 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nowadays, the song resonates with fans as a beloved yet meme-able classic.

Of course, The Weeknd is no stranger to the charts either. He’s had seven top hits on the Billboard Hot 100 himself, the longest reign being “The Hills” at number one for six weeks.

It’s fair to say that this is the music review we never knew we needed.
