Thomas Rhett's latest album is breaking the bounds of country – both stylistically and commercially. Center Point Road has charged past the likes of Ariana Grande, Khalid and Billie Eilish to take the lead on the all-encompassing Billboard 200 chart.
Rhett's 4th studio LP is the first country album to reach #1 on the chart this year, and it's his second album in a row to do so.
Center Point Road features collaborations with Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini and Jon Pardi. Rhett told RADIO.COM a wide range of influences went into his songwriting for the album and beyond.
"I've definitely experimented with a lot of electronic sounds and more progressive production," Rhett said. "Growing up I guess as the son of a country artist and growing up in the country it all just kind of bleeds out naturally as my own Thomas Rhett brand of Country music."
