Thomas Rhett’s Saturday night tour stop in Nashville came to a scary halt over the weekend as a fan in the audience suffered a medical emergency.

Various videos posted to social media show Thomas as he stops his show following the song, “Craving You,” calling medical personnel to aid a member of the audience in distress.

“There’s somebody down here that’s like, really hurt,” Rhett said into the mic. “Any doctors in the house?" he asked the crowd while calmly taking a knee near the fan who was near the front of the stage.

Security can be seen clearing the scene for the next few minutes asking fans to “back up” and give space. Thomas continued to remain calm as he sat on the side of the stage, regularly checking in with a security guard before the fan — which he later learned was named Terry — was quickly wheeled off on a stretcher.

The exact medical emergency Terry suffered was not shared with fans, however many suspect it was a heart attack as fans in the videos were heard saying CPR and later, an Atrial fibrillation machine was used to stabilize the patient.

Seconds after Terry was wheeled away, Rhett asked fans to join him as he lead a group prayer over Terry. “Hey y’all, let’s pray over Terry if y’all don’t mind,” he said before bowing his head and asking for healing, peace and love for Terry and family.

About 24 hours following the incident, Rhett posted an update to his social media revealing Terry was “home and doing well.”

“I’m thankful to report that Terry, who needed medical attention at last night’s show in Nashville, is home and doing well,” Thomas shared. “He and his family appreciate all the prayers! Love y’all so much.”

After some discussion, Rhett shared he'd end the show by playing one more song, "in honor of Terry." He and his band followed up with a performance of "What's Your Country Song," before calling it a wrap.

Saturday’s show marked the conclusion of Rhett’s Home Team ’23 tour which kicked off last May featuring special guests Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.
