And they said Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski wouldn’t last!
“Saved by the Bell” star Tiffani Thiessen celebrated a major milestone for her and Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s beloved characters on the ‘90s series.

The 47-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a throwback snap alongside her co-star in honor of Kelly and Zack’s 27th wedding anniversary.
“Happy 27th Anniversary Kelly & Zach! Way to keep the love going,” Thiessen captioned the photo and added the hashtags “#friendsforever” and “#tbt.”

Many of Thiessen’s followers and celebrity friends shared their well wishes for the fictional couple.
"This is the content I needed today. Bless you,” wrote author Leslie Bruce.
“Love this!!!” added actress Jenna Dewan.
“27 years!? You’re kidding! Time is a crazy thing!” wrote one of the star’s more than 1.7 million followers.
For those fans that may have forgotten, Zack and Kelly tied the knot in the NBC TV movie “Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas,” which first aired on October 7th, 1994.
The two-hour movie also served as the series finale of “Saved by the Bell: The College Years,” which was a spinoff of the original hit sitcom.
"Saved by the Bell" dominated TV screens from 1989 to 1993. In November 2020, the NBC streaming platform Peacock released a highly-anticipated reboot sequel series by the same name.
Both Thiessen and Gosselaar reprised their characters on the reboot, as Zack is now the governor of California and Kelly is the state’s First Lady. The duo appeared alongside original cast members Mario Lopez (AC Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano). Lark Voorhies, who played Lisa Slater, also made a cameo on the show’s first season.
Dustin Diamond, who played Screech in the original series, died in February at the age of 44 after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
While currently in production, a premiere date for season 2 of “Saved by the Bell” has yet to be announced.
