Tool is notably tight-lipped about their album details, leaving fans wondering when their highly-anticipated return would finally happen.
The band hasn't released new music since 2006's 10,000 Days but, the elusive rockers have finally confirmed a 2019 album release after a 12+ year wait.
Frontman Maynard James Keenan took to Twitter to give an update on their progress.
Update- Scratch Vox tracked awhile ago. AJ deep in Guitars now. Final Vox after. Step back. Adjust. Mix. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Master. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Long Way 2 Go But Much Closer. #TOOL #2019

It sounds as though songs are written, with rough demos and guitar already done, only leaving... every single other thing before the album is completed. While they still have quite a bit to do, anything sounds soon compared to the 12 years we've already waited anxiously!
