Nails painted, bottom teeth decked out in gold grills, top half covered in tattoos, and fully shrouded in mystery: Blackbear is the most authentic form of the "sad boy" artist we've always secretly been in love with. With songs that span from heartbreaking ballads to tracks that bring out our inner LA party-goer, Bear is diverse, trendy, and undeniably talented.

The singer, songwriter, and producer is currently in the middle of a worldwide tour supporting album ANONYMOUS. The name shrouded in mystique matches his enigmatic personality that's simultaneously relatable, accessible, and largely unknown. A laid-back vibe flows with him in everything from his enviable streetwear looks to his seamless blend of Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop. Tracks like the flowing "Idfc" jumped on the atmospheric R&B train early, presenting an inventive sound that still can't really be compared to what anyone else is doing.

Blackbear starts his set perched atop his stage up that feels like a video game come to life. Cubes of light framing his energetic performance with captivating graphics made every seat in the sold out crowd a good one. "HEARTBROKEN" kicks off a heavy-hitting setlist with a room full of booming bass and screaming fans, surely loud enough to alert neighbors around the block that Bear is in town.

A perfect balance of old and new songs span his entire discography as he dishes out tracks that weave through four years of underratedly hit-filled albums. The 28-year-old artist is light as a feather as he bounces across the stage, delivering energy that matches the crowd of passionate young fans'. After upbeat songs like "chateau" and "gucci linen," Blackbear changes lanes to show off with an acoustic guitar… and a coffin-shaped piano. His soothing voice soars as he pulls out cuts from his acoustic Dead EP and beyond.
