Scott will be performing at three installments of the Primavera Sound Festival in South America this fall in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. His performance on November 6 in Sao Paulo will be his first since the Astroworld tragedy nearly a year to the date prior.
Sources told Variety that Scott will be performing at “major” festivals in the summer, but these dates are his first announced appearances.
Scott has kept a low profile since Astroworld, but recently made waves at Coachella where several billboards were spotted that promoted his upcoming album Utopia. The billboards read, “PSST…," “Looking for UTOPIA?,” and “WRONG WAY!” At the moment, there’s no official release date for his new album.
Scott was originally scheduled to headline Coachella 2022, but his slot was canceled after the events at Astroworld where 10 people lost their lives. Following the tragedy, a Change.org petition accumulated more than 70,000 signatures for Scott’s removal from the festival.
Last month, he announced Project HEAL where he committed $5 million towards community initiatives that aim to build a "multi-tier, long-term series of community-focused philanthropy and investment efforts."
