Luke’s wife, Caroline, proved our point when she posted a video of Luke cheering her up after a rough morning by slow dancing to Huey Lewis’ “This Is It.”
“Caroline’s having a bad morning, we’re dancing it out,” Luke said in the video as he held his wife of 15 years close while bobbing to the beat.
“I was a big grumpy cat this morning. He annoyed me until I laughed… works every time.”
The video earned “awww’s” from many including fellow Country artist Dustin Lynch and podcast host Caroline Hobby. Perhaps the person most struck by Luke’s big-hearted efforts was his own mother, LeClaire Bryan who commented, “That’s a good way to handle it.” Mother knows best!
Luke’s mom is a well-known character to Luke’s fans who keeps everyone laughing with her free spirit and hilarious Instagram posts. While she clearly likes to keep things light, she recently made a call to her son when she read some not so light news in a gossip magazine. Luke shared the story during his recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“So, I was having coffee, and my mother calls me,” Luke shared. “She goes, ‘I’m sittin’ here readin’ some gossip thing… it says you fathered Maren Morris’ child.’” Luke replied, “I do not need this today.”
The start of the rumor turned out to be a misprint in an overseas publication that has since been corrected.
