Luke Bryan filled some big boots over the weekend as he walked his niece, Jordan Cheshire, down the aisle on her wedding day.

A video shared via Instagram shows a very proud “uncle Luke,” grinning from ear to ear and even taking a moment to adjust Jordan’s veil before proceeding down the aisle to an instrumental version of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams.”
According to PEOPLE, Luke also shared a special dance with Jordan during the reception to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart.”
Jordan, along with her brother and sister, Til and Kris, were adopted by Luke and his wife, Caroline, after losing both parents within seven years. Their mom, Kelly (Luke’s sister), died unexpectedly of natural causes in 2007, with her husband, Lee, succumbing to a heart attack only seven years later.
The emotional losses are detailed in Luke’s recent IMDb TV docu-series, Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary.
By opening up about his deeply personal losses in the docs-series, Luke hopes to inspire others who may be walking through hard times similar to his.
"I've had so many tragedies in my life," Bryan told PEOPLE. “It's almost like you don't want to tell the story because you don't want to feel like you're out there craving sympathy. If I can inspire people to move on from tragedy, hopefully by my behavior," he added, "that's what life's all about for me."
