If you want a sneak peek at Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader – also known as Bruce Wayne, you can watch the opening scene right now without a streaming subscription.

HBO Max exclusively posted the first 11-minutes of the film, which introduces fans to the crime-solving vigilante and the latest Gotham villain, The Riddler (Paul Dano).

“The Batman," directed by Matt Reeves, premiered on March 4 and has already crossed the $750 million mark at the global box office.

Per Deadline, it is the highest-grossing film of the year, globally and domestically.

The film also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

It is also scheduled to air on HBO at 8 PM/ET on Saturday, April 23.

Even prior to the premiere, the film was anticipated to be a huge hit. Farrell signed on to star and executive produce a spinoff series for HBO Max centered on the Penguin. Reeves will also executive produce alongside the film’s producer Dylan Clark.

And while there’s no official word on whether or not a sequel is in the works, based on the glowing reviews and audience feedback, we’ll likely see Pattinson don the cape and cowl again in the future.
