Where to Get Spectrum CBD Jelly Beans

If you grew up in the '80s or '90s, heck even if you were a child of the early 2000s, the seemingly unlimited number of flavors of Jelly Belly jelly beans figured into your eating habits. The man behind that multitude of flavors (uggh, even the licorice ones) is David Klein. Klein sold off the trademark to his jelly beans in 1980, but has remained around the candy world for decades. And now he's got a new company, Spectrum Confections, and he's back in the jelly bean game. But this time there's a twist. Klein's newest candies come with a dose of CBD.

In an interview with Cannabis Aficionado Klein announced his new creation, which currently comes in 38 flavors including some of the hits of the Jelly Belly lineup like toasted marshmallow and piña colada.

"I said to myself, 'is anybody doing a jelly bean with CBD?' I could not find any," he said to Cannabis Aficionado.  And now the beans are available to order online, although they are sold out at present.

Importantly, these beans are not going to get you high. While each bean has 10mg of CBD—there isn't one go-to estimate, but two beans would be considered a medium dose—they don't contain any THC. And the company doesn't currently have any plans to branch out into that area

But the CBD beans do come in three varieties—the original as well as sugar-free and sour versions.

And even though the inclusion of CBD is the headline grabber, Klein is proud of the taste. "Our mango tastes more like mango than mango" he said to CA.

For now the beans are only available in bulk, but you can keep with any sales information and work on placing future orders when they're back in stock over at the Spectrum Confections website.
