Paulina Porizkova, 56, recently took to Instagram to complain that she was kicked off of Hinge because of guideline violations. “I didn’t even get to post my photo,” she wrote under a selfie.

The model continued, stating that “my name, it seems, is against guidelines?” and sharing that it wasn’t until she made a profile using a fake name that she was able to get back onto the app.
“I called, I emailed. No one bothered to reply. Then, a friend suggested I use a different phone number and my nickname. I got a few nice dates that way,” she shared.
A representative for Hinge told Page Six that the reason she was given the boot is that “people thought having her on Hinge was too good to be true and immediately reported her profile for being fake.”
Porizkova shouldn’t have to worry much longer when it comes to the romance department, as Hinge has apologized, commenting on her post that “we are so sorry for the heartache we’ve caused you! We want everyone to have a positive Hinge experience that ultimately leads to finding love.”

The dating app took it one step further, letting her know that her “account is back on the runway with a few Roses on us.”
Porzikova recently called things off with director Aaron Sorkin, 60, after a whirlwind romance earlier this year. “I’m so grateful for his presence in my life. He helped heal me and reclaim myself. There truly may be no better man, no man who’s more genuinely ‘good.’ He’s brilliant and witty and funny and sexy,” she wrote Tuesday under a photo of the two of them with a broken heart emoji.
Porizkova isn’t the only star to get flagged as a fraud on dating app. In 2019, Sharon Stone shared on Twitter that her Bumble account had been closed after the app received “several reports about your profile being fake.”
Stone’s tweet went viral and the situation was quickly rectified, with Bumble responding that in the future her account wouldn’t be blocked again.
