At the center of everything for WONHO, is the fans. The “Don’t Wake Me Up!” singer recently stopped by our Los Angeles studios to talk with Brooke Morrison about how that connection drives his music, and served as his motivation on the new EP, CORE.

“It makes me think about my fans,” WONHO says of his latest project. “I would say my biggest motivation.”
Deeply involved in the making of CORE on every level, WONHO learned a lot during the recording. “Through this process, I'm slowly learning what my strengths are and what I'm good at,” he reveals. “I usually start with the topic or the story. I think about what I want to say first and then I build the emotions around that.”
“I don't think there are any stories I can't put into my music. I just want to make music that people can enjoy easily.”
Speaking of enjoying, when asked about his current obsessions, WONHO was quick to note fantasy stories, sunglasses, and of course, dogs. “Dogs make me happy.”
