Congratulations are in order for Lainey Wilson as her new single, “Hang Tight, Honey,” arrives today after sharing the big news just last week that she would be opening up her very own Nashville bar, and dropped a trailer for her upcoming Hulu documentary. The new track, Lainey tells us, is "about life on the road and coming home to the one that you love. I love it, and I hope you do too!"
Wilson’s forthcoming, 14-track album, Whirlwind, produced by Jay Joyce -- the follow-up to her GRAMMY-winning Bell Bottom Country -- is set for release on August 23.
“I am so excited to finally announce ‘Whirlwind.’ This album has been a long time coming and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon,” Lainey said in a statement announcing the new record. “This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”
Lainey is also scheduled to perform at the upcoming ACM Awards set for Thursday, May 16, alongside Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, and more.
