XLOV recently stopped by our Audacy studios in Los Angeles to talk with Brooke Morrison about their latest EP, I,God, their creative process, and more.

Noting that they operate as an "all-rounder" group without rigid roles, they say they often adopt new, evolving titles within the group. “I think the creativity side of me, it's always the same because when I choose to be XLOV leader and producer of this group and also the performer in this group, I think, I just open all the ideas and open all the identities inside of me,” shares XLOV leader, Wumuti.
XLOV emphasizes soul and emotion when choosing or writing music, rather than following specific technical rules, viewing their releases as chapters in a longer, overarching story that was established pre-debut.
While the narrative is fixed, they focus on being free to express their current vibe and evolution in their music, and the members feel more confident expressing themselves and their fashion choices as time moves on.
Looking ahead five years, the group expressed a desire to act as a "window" for their fans, a source of light and a fresh perspective that encourages fans to be whoever they want to be, enjoy their lives, and embrace the ability to change.
