Half of all Americans will judge you based on how you cook your steak

How you like your steak cooked says a lot about your personality. Namely, are your opinions about how a steak should be cooked right or wrong.

According to SWNS Digital, half of all Americans judge people on how they like their steak cooked, and 53% of people said they would DUMP their significant other depending on how they liked their steak.

The most popular way to cook a steak is medium and medium-rare, both of which received about a third of the vote. Next is rare at 15%, medium-well at 11%, and well done (the absolute wrong way) at 10%.

According to the survey, Northeasterners eat the most steak at around 16 ounces a month. This was followed by those in the South who consume 13 ounces, then folks out West at 11 ounces, and then the Midwest at about 10 ounces a month.
