NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Tributes are pouring in from all corners of the music world and beyond for Aretha Franklin.
The legendary singer passed away at her home in Detroit on Thursday from advanced pancreatic cancer. She was 76.
Outside Harlem's famed Apollo Theater, where the marquee "Rest in Peace Queen of Soul," fans young and old have been stopping to pay their respects and share their memories of the icon who performed many times at the historic venue.
Many also took to Twitter to honor the "Respect" singer, including Paul Mccartney and Tim Cook.
