This baseball alone should be in the hall a fame. That's because this one piece of memorabilia was signed by Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb and eight more baseball greats on the day they all entered the Baseball Hall of Fame at the hall's opening ceremony on June 12th, 1939.
SCP Auctions says it was a home run for collectors, selling for more than $600,000 dollars. Lou Gehrig, inducted along with the rest as the first class of 1936, is the only missing signature. He was being treated for ALS three years later on the day of the Cooperstown induction ceremony.
This incredible picture below shows all of the inductees, minus Gehrig and Ty Cobb, who is said to be missing because he was delayed coming from California and arrived just seconds after the picture was taken.
