NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Ever seen a dog ice skating? Well New Yorkers, your opportunity is coming up.

Benny the Ice-Skating Dog, who has over 17,000 followers on social media, is set to slide into New York City’s Wollman Rink on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

The 8-year-old rescue Labrador retriever will be skating with guests and showing off his skills from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the iconic rink in Central Park.

Those who want to opportunity to hit the ice with Benny can purchase tickets online at WollmanRinkNYC.com/tickets.

“[Benny] has made appearances all over the country showing off his incredible talents, from performances at Golden Knights NHL games in Las Vegas to skating on national television,” handlers for the ice-skating pup said in a release.

“He also skates for Spectrum On Ice, an ice-skating program for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. His inspirational story–and the goodwill he inspires in everybody he meets—earned him the American Kennel Club Exemplary Companion award,” the release continued.
