Chicago Cubs Fan With Down Syndrome Belts Out National Anthem At Ball Game

By Meredith Ganzman

Chicago Cubs fan, Stefan Xidas, made his dream come true, when he sang the "Star-Spangled Banner" at Wrigley Field in front of nearly 40,000 fans.

The 30-year-old Special Olympics tennis athlete made a deal with Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts: if he raised $5,000 for the Special Olympics Organization, then he could sing the National Anthem at a game. So far Stefan has raised more $19,000.

He also hung out with his favorite ball players at the game. Stefan's performance definitely hit it out of the park, and even more so with his fundraising efforts.
