These firefighters are trying to walk a mile in the shoes of those who came before them.
In full gear -- Timothy Soler and Alex Liczewsky climbed 110 flights on a treadmill to symbolize the stairs of the World Trade Center.
The Georgia men wanted to honor and remember the 343 heroic firefighters who died rescuing people in New York during the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks
The two men started climbing the steps at exactly 8:46 am, the time the first plane hit the twin tower.
Their incredible act of remembrance shows that no matter how much time passes, the men and women who died that day will never be forgotten.
